ParkSmart – Pacifica/Toyota/Honda
Arming
The switch to arm the system is located on the passenger c-pillar when armed it will show a green light, and the system will beep 3 times.
There is a 2-minute timer that if the passenger sliding door is not closed within 2 minutes the system will disarm beeping 2 times
Once the system is armed and the door is closed there is a maximum of 30 seconds before the system starts to scan for objects.
If no objects are detected the system goes to a sleep mode but still scanning every couple of seconds, this allows for the OEM battery to not be drained. (I have left the van in this mode for days and still had the battery charged enough so the van will start)
The detection range is 8ft from the door outside of the passenger sliding door.
Disarming
The same switch that arms the system will disarm the system the light will turn red and the system will beep 2 times.
If the system is armed and the customer opens the passenger sliding door the system automatically disarms (it will finish 1 warning if it has started)
If a customer is in the van with the engine running and the system is armed once, when the van shifts out of park it will automatically disarm so when you are driving it does not activate at a stop light.
If the system detects an object 3 consecutive times the ParkSmart will shut off. This is saving the battery because the object or vehicle blocking will not move.
